Rebecca Renfrow Wilder (they/them; she/her)
I offer embodied mental health therapy to teens and adults with an emphasis on relationships – with self, other, community, and the living world. A long time social justice activist, I came to healing arts as a way to support individuals and communities to transform trauma and grow power to shape and sustain movements toward equity, dignity, and belonging.
I understand our personal injuries as inseparable from the inherited and socially conditioned wounds we carry. In the same way, I understand personal healing as part of our work toward collective liberation.
I help people to
Cultivate curiosity
Emerge on the other side of outdated habits of self-protection
Feel for and find ways to move toward what most matters
Fight the good fights without fighting ourselves
I’m here to help you come to your senses. Literally.
> To sense and connect with the world around you
> To learn or re-learn how to feel yourself
> To live your life in this living body right here and now.
We do that through sensory and somatic awareness, and sometimes meeting outside in one of our wilder places in the city, like Seward Park.
I specialize in burnout prevention and recovery for folks dedicated to supporting others. Artists, activists, social entrepreneurs, care workers, sex workers, educators, helpers, healers, queer, trans, polyam folks and all those seeking and practicing liberation are welcomed and affirmed.
